The following independent professionals are associates available
to assist with different TrueNorth projects, depending on the needs
of the clients. Their relationship with TrueNorth is as an independent
contractor or volunteer, depending on their skill-set, and
life experiences!


Adventure Associates

Don Carr, President and Founder of Tuxedo Brothers Event Management,
a premier full-services event management company since 1988. They specialize in in Running/Walking
& Multi-sports events, as well as well as computerized timing & scoring of finish lines. Don's list of
directing events is long, including directing the world's largest half marathon race: the Indianapolis Life
500 Festival Mini Marathon, and the Race for the Cure, the Dick Lugar Run & Walk, the Indianapolis
Corporate Challenge, the Shelbyville Triathlon Series, the Mideast Regional Triathlon Championships,

Jim Kramer, always the exuberant positive family guy, has been a long-time athlete and
event organizer. As the past Business Manager for the IUPUI Sport Complex, he recently accepted a
job as the Assistant Athletic Director at Idaho State University! Jim has worked many world
class sporting events, as well as volunteering for many Tuxedo Brothers events. He is a very dedicated
father of three and husband, and loves to discuss strategies and philosophies of all sports. He competed
in the 2002 Wild Onion Urban Adventure Race with Coates, crewed for the TrueNorth team in the
Planet Adventure 30-Hour Adventure Race, and volunteers at TrueNorth events !

David Kauffman, a technical lead staff person at Eli Lilly and Company, is the man behind the scenes!
Dave is the guy who fixes and puts the technical polish on the TrueNorth website. An experienced
adventure racer (he started Indy Rootstock Team) and navigator, Dave is also an excellent communicator
to non-website persons, and an incredible whiz at problem solving for this website! As he juggles his many
work and volunteer responsibilities, he keeps life in perspective with a sense of humor and an adventurous
spirit !!


Phil Carr is a busy man these days. After a stint as the Executive Director of the
United States Competitive Climbing Association, he started his own finish line timing/scoring company,
Rock Solid Results. As one of the Tuxedo Brothers, he also works many finish lines of Tuxedo Brothers
events with his custom-designed finish line software. Phil will be working with TrueNorth and Associates
events when we need finish-line scoring and timing expertise.www.tuxbro.com

Dane McCullough. After 16 years at Eli Lilly and Company, Dane retired and
started her own company, Core Coaching and Training. Her company is a personal and professional
development company committed to inspiring you to lead a balanced, powerful life in integrity with your
Core. This involves personal coaching, Vision Quests, and corporate workshops on Core Business.
Dane is a very intuitive person, & loves spending time in the out-of-doors.

Mike Ducy, owner of The End Results Company, Inc. provides chip timing to
some of TrueNorth events. Mike is very experienced with chip-timing finish lines for races. He works
over 100 events per year, all over the world, including the Mini-Marathon in Indianapolis (35,000+ entries!).
Mike is very competent, and is also very easy to work with.

Ellyn Byron, the founder of Team Summit, offers to TrueNorth clients her certified
expertise with the Extended DISC® system. This very helpful up-front assessment tool is available on-line,
& produces valuable feedback for work teams to develop a plan of how to become more effective, based
on the strengths and weakness of the team. Ellyn, who has extensive experience in the corporate world, is
an energetic outdoor enthusiast, and offers lots of other outdoor experiential choices through her Team
Summit company.

Jim Buzzelli, recently retired from Polymer Technology Systems and AMAX Coal,
is an inspirational and energetic volunteer. Jim loves helping develop the principled-centered adventure theme
of TrueNorth, and enjoys meeting new people through TrueNorth, and has never met a stranger !

Linda Jones, an energetic long distance runner & experienced adventure racer &
orienteerer, is a working mother of 2. With a past career as a master electrical engineer at General Motors,
her technical abilities have given her a natural affinity for navigation and the sport of orienteering. Combined
with her love of fun, adventure and the out-of-doors, Linda recently embarked on a new career by finishing
her teaching certificate & getting a job teaching high school math.

Zane Davis, Pike High School senior, was integral in helping launch the TrueNorth website ! He had
amazing patience with the "blank pages" as we created this site from scratch, as the ever-changing drafts
of the website were developed. His problem-solving ability for a high school age student, was quite amazing.
Special thanks to Zane for helping TrueNorth get started !

Bob Beck, long-time cyclist, and new Adventure Racer! Bob has lost over 50 lbs, is very
excited about new fitness adventures, and balancing them with his family, work, & church responsibilities!
Bob has supplied some equipment and volunteer time for the clinics, and will be an occasional racer and
spiritual anchor on the TrueNorth team !

Andrea Megnin, quite the amazing young athlete has quite a bright future in adventure
racing. Andrea's strong positive attitude, strength, and endurance make her an excellent teammate, and
her professional background in nutrition and adventure trips may be a new added componet to TrueNorth !
She volunteers for some of the TrueNorth clinics, and races on Team TrueNorth.

Cy Megnin, is the backbone of many teams. He is an athlete in his own right, and quite
the support crew for the longer adventure races. Cy also has excellent marketing mettle, and will be
helping market TrueNorth, as well as being on the support crew on occasion.

Linda Maynard, is a very busy woman. As registered nurse and a parent of a very
active teenager, she is also the Community Service Coordinator for the Central Indiana Cancer Centers.
Her professional roles has her lobbying congress for patient issues, marketing services of the centers,
networking with the 14 doctors of the ractice, sitting with cancer patients during treatments, etc. Her
passions involve walking, being outdoors, and helping others to be successful. She will help TrueNorth
as an event volunteer, and marketing to new markets.
