Sat. April 4, 2009...IU Mini Marathon & 5K, Bloomington, IN...Almost 1500 runners & walkers trekked either 13.1 miles, or 5K, to raise funds for the Bill Z. Littlefield Scholarship. The 800+ 1/2 marathon participants, and the 600+ 5K participants, raised funds for surviving cancer patients in pursuit of 4-year degrees at the collegiate level. This event is the largest 1/2 marathon in the country, created-organized-planned-implemented by college students.
